HerCycle provides 150 girls in Thyolo with reusable sanitary pad kits
The HerCycle project, implemented by the Limodzi Foundation in partnership with the Centre for Policy and Reform in Health and Law, provided 150 girls in Thyolo District with reusable sanitary pad kits and essential hygiene education.
The initiative distributed kits each containing pads, soap, and underwear to girls aged 16–21, alongside training on menstrual health and pad care. The support aims to empower girls and enable consistent school attendance.
Tracy Kabambe, Director of Programmes, Communications and Partnerships at the Centre for Policy and Reform in Health and Law, stated that the project seeks to restore dignity and ensure girls can fully participate in school and community life.
One student, Felister Banda, shared that the donation has made her feel more confident, informed, and able to attend school without fear or shame.
